Traditional video surveillance often helps investigate an incident after it occurs. American Alarm and ZeroEyes provide a proactive layer of protection by using AI to identify visible weapons through compatible security cameras. Trained analysts review each potential threat and send verified alerts with actionable information—often within seconds—helping security teams and first responders react faster.
Can ZeroEyes work with our current cameras?
ZeroEyes works with many existing IP cameras and video management systems. American Alarm will assess camera compatibility, image quality, placement, network capacity and system age before recommending a deployment.
Does the system recognize concealed firearms?
No. The firearm must be visible within a monitored camera’s field of view for the system to detect it.
Are alerts fully automated?
No. A trained ZeroEyes analyst reviews each potential weapon detection before a verified alert is sent.
Does ZeroEyes eliminate false alarms?
No detection system can guarantee zero false alarms. Human verification helps filter false detections before notifications reach your organization or emergency responders.
Does the technology use facial recognition?
No. ZeroEyes does not use facial recognition
or store biometric identifiers.
How quickly are alerts sent?
Verified alerts are often dispatched within seconds. Actual timing can vary based on the incident, system configuration, connectivity and response procedures.
Will we need to replace our video surveillance system?
Not necessarily. ZeroEyes can integrate with many existing systems that meet its camera, network and performance requirements.
