Fire at Popular Dorchester Block

A fire alarm was received from the basement of a commercial block in the Dorchester section of Boston. Our Central Station operator immediately dispatched firefighters and alerted the building’s owner. Upon arrival, firefighters found the fire in the common basement. The blaze was contained to the basement, though the upper floor suffered smoke damage.
