Break-in Foiled in Avon

A perimeter burglar alarm from a bedroom window sensor in Avon was received. Our Central Station operator called the home and spoke with a resident who asked for help. The resident indicated she had heard breaking glass right before the alarm. Police were immediately dispatched and our operator stayed on the phone with the resident until police arrived. Upon investigation, police confirmed the attempted break, but the would-be burglar apparently fled when the alarm sounded.
