Five Diamond Certified Command Center - American Alarm
Recognized by Our Peers
Five Diamond QualificationTo qualify for Five Diamond status, every central station operator must take and pass the CSAA’s Central Station Operator Training Course Level 1 or Advanced Operator On-Line Training Course. In addition, all operators must be proficient in alarm verification, emergency center communications, and demonstrate understanding of the codes and standards of security organizations like the National Fire Protection Association and Underwriters Laboratories. Furthermore, Five Diamond central stations must have state-of-the-art communications and monitoring equipment, and they must have strong working relationships with public safety organizations in their area. “It’s a rigorous process, and you have to show that you measure up every year,” said Maria Moretti, American Alarm’s Command Center Manager. “It’s a strict program, but that’s how it should be. When you’re helping to electronically protect people’s lives and property, you have to be demanding.” About the CSAABased near Washington D.C., the CSAA is the leading trade organization representing the burglar and fire alarm monitoring industry. The Five Diamond program is widely recognized as setting the standard of excellence for security monitoring stations. Of the 2,700 central stations operating in the United States today, CSAA officials report that fewer than 100 have achieved Five Diamond status. |
