Rockport is a small town on the North Shore of Massachusetts

A few years ago a woman who resides alone in her Rockport home
was looking out her window when she noticed a man pull up the
driveway and step out of his car. The heavy-set man was man dressed
poorly and there was something about him the homeowner did not
trust. Shortly after arriving, the man noticed the homeowner spotted
him in the dirveway, he quickly fled with his car. Although on
the edge of panic, the homeowner had the presence of mind to call
the Rockport police. The police responded and issued an alert.
After some investigation the police determined the man had broken
in to several houses in the area including one of the homeowner’s
neighbors. Police several towns away finally caught the man and
arrested him after a violent struggle.
Shortly after the incident the women contacted American Alarm
and made an appointment for a home security system evaluation.

safety feature included in the home security system is a panic
button that triggers the alarm system even if the burglar alarm
is not turned on.
