The company was founded in 1971 by three engineers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) who saw the need to apply new technology and systems to help protect families, homes and businesses.

Our Randolph, Mass. office is the headquarters of our enterprise life-safety systems division called Advanced Signal Corp., which is an authorized Engineered Systems Distributor for Notifier by Honeywell. For commercial security customers with operations that extend beyond New England, American Alarm serves customers nationwide through the Security Network of America, of which American Alarm is a founding partner.
American Alarm operates at state-of-the-art, UL Certified Command Center to monitor our customers’ homes and businesses 24-7. It’s in Arlington, Mass., and we invite you to come see it.
