Burst pipes, boiler flame-out, and other environmental threats
Security Trends:Burst pipes, boiler flame-out, and other environmental threatsWhether it's the harsh cold of winter in New England (most years, anyway), the threat of water damage, chemicals leaking from storage tanks or the build-up of toxic gases within a building, anticipating environmental hazards is a growing part of integrated security system design and monitoring. Technological advances in both sensory equipment and communication networks has helped American Alarm expand services in ways that offer a full spectrum of protection for a home or business, well beyond the traditional threats of fire and burglary. For example, we recently entered into a cooperative agreement with Lamprey Brothers of New Hampshire, a leading heating oil, heating and air conditioning company in the region. We now offer Lamprey Brothers customers the ability to monitor their properties for oil burner shut-down, low interior temperatures, low fuel levels in their storage tanks or for water build up, to guard against leaks or pipe failure. Since 1973, American Alarm has strived to build and maintain the most sophisticated and reliable security network and Command Center in New England, to help us protect our customers' property and lives. Now, that technological infrastructure is being applied in new ways, to guard against a range of environmental conditions. |
