In this business it is necessary to focus on technology and stay at the leading edge so we can provide the best systems for every application from a modest home to a large enterprise. Since our beginnings in 1971, when three engineers from M.I.T saw the need to build a better security company, technical excellence has been part of our DNA. But technology leadership alone is not what makes American Alarm special. Time has shown us, over and over again, that pro-active service is the foundation of true security, and trouble-free peace of mind. That is why we’ve made it the foundation of our business. Security systems are increasingly complex, and like any sophisticated electronic technology they have elements that must be maintained to perform properly. So rather than wait for problems to occur, we run on a pro-active service model. Through programs like our lifetime warrantee and free annual wellness inspection for monitored residential customers, to our range of service plans for commercial customers, we are designed to stay ahead of routine onsite maintenance tasks so our customers’ security systems operate as needed. At American Alarm we invest in staff training because we want our team always to be prepared to respond to customer calls, whether they are emergencies or simply routine service matters that may arise. We value direct customer contact, so we have our own employees answering the phones 24/7, ready to help with any question or concern. This is a time of substantial change in the security industry. We have seen major mergers on the national level, while many smaller security companies, no longer able to compete, have been bought-up or simply shut down. These changes result in fewer choices for consumers, and in many cases can lead to reduced customer service. Yet in the midst of all this change, I can report to you that American Alarm remains strong and focused on customer service. We continue to revise and improve internal service processes and quality level measurements, looking to raise the bar of performance every day. With our team of 65 licensed technicians on the road in New England every day, backed by the experienced sales and support staff in our four offices, American Alarm will continue to do the best possible job we can for our customers, because that’s what our customers want us to do, and we like doing it!
